Tune Up

The BRAT may or may not have needed the following, but I figured if I do it all now, I know exactly what kind of mileage all the tune up parts will have on them. I started with the rotor on the distributor. Once the cap is off with the two clips, it just pulls straight up and off. I put the new one on with a little dielectric grease to help keep the connection trouble-free.
Next to go was the cap, which covers the rotor. Simply pulled the old one off, hucked it into the woods, and put the new one on.
I ordered up a set of plug wires from downtown, and was a bit suprised to find them to be blue. Very blue. Obnoxiously bright blue. Oh well, I bought them to be useful, not to be pretty- if both purposes are served, so be it! Plenty of dielectric grease was used to pack the boots and ensure a good, water resistant connection.
Next up was the plugs- they are exceptionally easy to get to on the EA81. The two on the passenger side of the engine are plainly visible
The two on the driver side of the block are hidden a bit by the alternator
The fuel filter is located right by the driver side strut tower. That is to say, one of them is. The second (or first, depending on how you look at things) is back by the gas tank. The one in the engine bay clogs up far less than the one at the gas tank, but I changed it all the same. Also changed but not shown here was the air cleaner element and the oil and filter.
